Each year the The Community Roundtable Parade Committee  puts on Brandon’s Fourth of July Parade.  It is a lofty effort that takes months of planning with twice monthly meetings starting in October.  The all-volunteer Parade Committee spends countless hours to ensure that we do things prudently, properly and according to the rules.  However, rules constantly change, which adds to the the excitement.  For instance, did you know that in 2010 the parade fell under rules governed by Homeland Security and that influences  whether squirt guns are allowed?    Yes, there is much that happens behind the scenes to ensure we safely celebrate the birth of our great nation.   The Parade Committee coordinates and facillatates all tasks.  However, if it were not for the assistance and support of many others, the parade just would not happen.
