A wonderful time was held at the 15th Annual Community Roundtable B. Lee Elam Golf Tournament.   It was played again at Buckhorn Springs Golf & CC.,  the premier golf course in Eastern Hillsborough county.  Debates ensured over whether the golf course was better than the  very tasty beef brisket, which was served for dinner after the tournament.  I vote for the beef.

The players also enjoyed the putting contest which challenged the golfers to sink a putt with a very unique ball.  The ball was a frozen meatball.  The winner of the contest was quite please to receive  a top of the line Titliest golf bag for his successful efforts!

This tournament has had the reputation for several years now, for proving golfers with goodie bags, full of special gifts.  This year, there were so many gifts, each golfer  was handed two goodie bags filled to the brim.

After savoring Portillo’s fine hotdogs with all the fixin’s for lunch, the golfers headed out to attack the course.

Rivard Buick-GMC again generously sponsored the prize at the 10th hole, a new car for whomever gets a hole in one! The  very last 4-some of the day almost won the prize.  One of their group landed a drive about 20 yards short of the green with the ball slowly rolling within inches of the hole to stop about 6 feet past the mark.  PHEW!

Thank you all for supporting The Community Roundtable!
